Why Fingerbomb exists

The P5 jump starts in Primary 1.

The children who collapse at Primary 5 almost always had shaky number sense from the very start. They memorised their number bonds and drilled the algorithms, but never built a felt sense of what a number actually is. When the questions turn multi-step, there is nothing underneath to hold on to.

Fingerbomb rebuilds that foundation while it is still easy to build: at P1 and P2, through the hands, before the formulas ever begin.

Tactile before formal. Sense before formula.

What is inside

Fifty tactile pieces, across five ways to learn.

Every piece is built to be handled, not just read. Five categories carry a child from playful discovery through to genuine mastery, with a manual that guides the grown-up beside them.

50 hands-on items, plus one mastery manual

How it teaches

Three principles behind every piece.

Who it is for

Built for the child, and the grown-up beside them.

Fingerbomb is the P1 and P2 entry point into the same 6-Step approach older students credit for their AL1s. Start here.

Fingerbomb was created by Ang Chee Peng, the centre's ex-MOE founder, and grows out of the same concept-first teaching AL1 Project Centre is built on.
